Heyy !! Welcome to my blog ♥
In this blog, I'm going to recommend the books which kinda changed my perspective about certain things. maybe my POV can be a little offensive so I'm sorry in advance but these books are highly recommended so just give them a try I'm sure you will like them too.
1 . Orbiting Jupiter by Gary Schmidt
⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐.2
This is a book about love, the unconditional love that a foster family has for a damaged young kid, the love that kid has for his daughter, and the love that he eventually reciprocates back to the foster family.
This book had something different in it. Something that you could only feel yourself and no one but the reader would understand the true feeling of loss. It won't make you sob in the end but it will definitely not leave you the same again. I kept thinking for long hours after completing this book. It's almost like damage that will never be cured. One of the best books. I have read so far. If you are looking for something very genuine and heartfelt, this is my recommendation. Go for it. You won't regret this. In the end, you will know that some things come only in death never in life.
2. Suicide Notes by Michael Thomas Ford
⭐ ⭐ ⭐.5
This novel deeply reminded me of the classic “Catcher in the Rye”. It was a true pleasure to read. The voice was distinct, the main character was very likable and relatable, and the narration had a good tone.
I was struck by the philosophical questions and dilemmas in this book, which made the reading a more compelling experience. I must say, it is a very light read with content suitable for 13 years and over. A few parts, however, were not to my liking. The ending fell flat- there was no closure and I would have wished the book ended more concretely, for the depth of the story. Secondly, the main character goes through abuse and I wish the negative consequences were more incorporated, as to make the novel more realistic. Lastly, the book does not have much progress, it was too repetitive and it often lacked progression.
Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by the strong voice in the book. One will not be disappointed by the storytelling and charismatic charm Michael Ford has included in the protagonist. Well done.
3. Girl In Pieces by Kathleen Glasglow

“Everyone seems to have a grip on life but me, when is it going to get better?”
It’s a beautifully written book. The book is worded so elegantly. It’s not just words written on paper. It’s true. It’s real. It pulls at your heart. It understands life and looks at it from a unique perspective. You really get to see the main character, Charlie, battle her struggles and see her develop character. The book has a happy ending that really pulls it all together. I couldn’t have asked for it to be written any better. Charlie has been through a lot, got kicked out of her house, lived on the streets for a while, been through unforgettable times, which makes her think these horrible thoughts, and one of those thoughts leads to her thinking she can let everything out by just harming herself. She has never been the typical girl who has it all, she’s the complete opposite. You can really see who she truly feels and thinks throughout the story. From the beginning she is completely suffering deeply, giving up, but as you read, you really can realize the development she has within herself. And knowing by the end of the book that she is actually progressing into a better person, is just a beautiful feeling.
Another detail I deeply admire is that the author made each character with their own flaws and problems, not just Charlie, showing that there is no such thing as a person being “perfect”. it represents the real world.
This book is about healing, accepting, moving on, and realizing what you love and who.
4. Turtles All The Way Down by John Green
⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐.9
In the book, we get a glimpse of Aza’s inner struggle and what she calls a “thought spiral” as she and her best friend, Daisy, try to investigate the sudden and mysterious death of the city’s CEO and billionaire, Russell Pickett. Meanwhile, a love story unfolds between Aza and Picket’s now orphan son, Davis, who was mourning the disappearance of his father while also trying to take care of his deeply upset younger brother Noah.
This book has made me realize that not all stories have that typical clichΓ© happy ending; it has also given me a great insight into the mind of a person like Aza, making me a lot more understanding when it comes to such topics.
In my opinion, this book was very skilfully written for it tackles tough issues such as loss or pain. John Green was able to portray his characters in a very relatable and convincing way that makes even the most jaded young adults enjoy. If you like a meaningful heart-warming book, this one is for you.
JOHN GREEN is king when it comes to literature and he proves it every time.
5. The Zahir by Paulo Coelho
⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐.9
It's definitely a hard book to understand but I think it's more on the side that how much are we capable of understanding. I didn't understand many things in this book but would definitely reread it.
In this novel, a renowned author discovers his wife has disappeared with no trace. Was she kidnapped or worse simply bored with their marriage? search for her and for the truth of his own life takes the main character from the streets of Paris to the bleakly beautiful landscape of central Asia. This journey leads him to a new understanding of the meaning of life, nature, and the power of love and what it really means to follow your heart. We also get to see various hypocrisy and meaningless ends towards which we waste our time. The art of self-deceiving and conforming to society has been ridiculed subtly. Even if you are not into philosophical type novels, you should give it a try. It's not about mysticism but actually a story that we know but don't think about.
As it says- "It begins with a glimpse or a passing thought. It ends in obsession."
You made it to the end !! Thank you so much for reading my blog do comment and like it ..it will make my day.
XOXO ♥
